Finding an obstetrician that you trust is an essential part of any modern pregnancy and birthing plan. That’s why we offer the most up-to-date and comprehensive obstetrics services.

Whether you are expecting your first baby, multiple babies, or have other factors that may increase your risks for a high-risk pregnancy, we’re here to prepare and guide you through every stage of your childbirth experience.

Comprehensive Prenatal Care

Quality and thorough prenatal care play an essential role in delivering healthy babies. Your routine checkups will include a thorough examination, detailed 3D and 4D ultrasounds, and first trimester screenings to track your baby's growth and help ensure the health of you both.

Although your prenatal visits will depend on your individual needs, healthy pregnancy check-ups typically occur at the following times:

• Once a month until 28 weeks gestation
• Twice a month from 28-36 weeks gestation
• Once a week from week 36 to your baby's birth

High-Risk Pregnancy

All pregnancies carry some degree of risk, but a high-risk pregnancy increases your baby’s chances of developing health issues throughout your pregnancy and after delivery. Several factors can place you in this category including pre-existing medical conditions, age, a pregnancy involving twins or more, and a history of miscarriages.

If you are experiencing a high risk pregnancy, you should anticipate visiting our office more often than a typical prenatal care schedule. You will have more detailed 3D and 4D ultrasound tests to monitor your baby’s growth and development, and special plans might be made for your delivery at our hospital affiliate, Mount Sinai South Nassau. Their Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is known for its exceptional care for high-risk and premature newborns and is equipped with the latest technology and equipment to nurture the smallest and most critical babies.

Post-Delivery Care

Having a baby is a life-changing event, both emotionally and physically. We believe that proper postpartum care is crucial to your well-being, and the recuperation of your pregnancy and the delivery of your newborn.

Post-delivery care is an ongoing process. Your initial follow-up visit should occur within 6 weeks after childbirth and will include a comprehensive assessment of your well-being, a complete physical examination, and an opportunity to discuss any concerns you have, such as contraceptive options, breastfeeding, resuming sexual activity, and adjusting to life with your new baby.
